Video to MP3
Paste a video link and take only the sound: an MP3 extracted from the best audio track the source provides.
How the conversion works
The server fetches the audio stream the platform publishes, then re-encodes it to MP3. Nothing is recorded from your speakers and no plugin is involved, so the result is as clean as the source allows.
The MP3 option appears in the format list whenever the server can run FFmpeg — it is the entry labelled MP3 · audio only.
What quality to expect
The encoder runs at its highest quality setting (V0), which is transparent for almost any source. It cannot add detail the original never had: a 64 kbps voice clip stays a 64 kbps voice clip, only larger. Videos with no audio track at all produce nothing, and the entry is not offered for them.
How to convert a video to MP3
- Paste the video link above and press Grab.
- Choose MP3 · audio only from the list.
- Save the file when it is ready. It arrives as a normal
.mp3that plays anywhere.
When there is no MP3
- Silent videos. No audio track means nothing to extract.
- Sources that only expose a video file with the sound baked in — the audio is still converted, but only from that file.
- Very long videos take longer to convert; the progress bar shows the download, then a short processing step.
Frequently asked questions
Is the MP3 converted on my computer or on the server?
On the server, with FFmpeg. Your browser only downloads the finished file, so nothing has to be installed.
Does converting to MP3 lose quality?
MP3 is a lossy format, so a second encode is never free. At the V0 setting the difference is inaudible for most sources, but it is not bit-for-bit the original track.
Why is there no MP3 option for some links?
Either the video has no audio track, or FFmpeg is unavailable on the server at that moment. The option is only shown when the conversion can actually run.
