What you get from a TikTok link

How to download a TikTok video

  1. Open the video in the TikTok app or on tiktok.com and tap Share → Copy link.
  2. Paste the link into the box at the top of this page and press Grab.
  3. The file list appears. Pick a quality — or the entry marked Photo for a photo post — and save.

The whole link works, including the short vm.tiktok.com and vt.tiktok.com forms; you do not have to clean it up first.

Quality and file size

TikTok usually publishes one finished MP4 per post rather than a ladder of qualities, so the list often shows a single video entry plus the MP3 option. When the post does offer several streams, each one is listed with its resolution and, where the platform reports it, an estimated size.

Nothing is re-encoded on the way through. A 15-second clip is typically 1–4 MB; longer videos scale with the bitrate TikTok chose.

Frequently asked questions

Is the TikTok download really watermark-free?

Where TikTok serves a clean stream, yes: the tool asks for the original file and never overlays anything. If the only version the platform exposes is watermarked, that watermark is part of the video and cannot be removed.

Can I download a TikTok photo post?

Yes. A photo post is listed as an image entry and saved as a JPG at the size TikTok serves.

Do I need a TikTok account?

No. There is no login here and no TikTok credentials are ever requested. Only public posts can be fetched.
