Facebook Video Downloader
Public Facebook videos and Reels, saved as MP4. Facebook publishes a finished file for most videos, so HD and SD are usually both available.
Videos, Reels and watch links
- HD and SD where Facebook publishes both, labelled with the quality it reports.
- Reels from
facebook.com/reel/…links work the same way as ordinary videos. - Audio only as MP3, useful for a talk or a music clip.
How to download a Facebook video
- Copy the address of the post —
facebook.com/watch/?v=…, a/reel/…link, or the video's own page. - Paste it above and press Grab.
- Choose HD or SD and save. The larger file is the better picture, not a longer video.
HD or SD — which to pick
Facebook reports its own quality names rather than pixel heights, so the list shows them as HD and SD. HD is the sharper file and the bigger download; SD is smaller and fine for sharing in a chat. Both are complete files with sound.
What does not work
- Private posts and closed groups. Anything that needs a logged-in session is out of reach.
- Live streams in progress. A stream that has not finished cannot be saved as a file.
- Friends-only videos. Same reason: no login, no access.
Frequently asked questions
Can I download a Facebook Reel?
Yes. A facebook.com/reel/… link is handled exactly like a normal video link.
Why do I see HD and SD instead of 1080p and 720p?
Because Facebook labels its files that way and does not always report pixel dimensions. The names come straight from the page, not from us.
Do I need to log in to Facebook?
No, and you should not: the tool never asks for Facebook credentials. Only content that is public without a session can be fetched.
